Audrey Sinclair

Audrey Sinclair spent six years as a staff writer at Curbed NY, covering neighborhoods, real estate, and the slow-motion transformation of the city's blocks. She watched Bushwick become unrecognizable. She wrote the obituary for three different "last dive bars." She broke enough "this block is about to tip" stories to develop an almost clinical eye for what a neighborhood looks like eighteen months before everyone else notices. She left traditional media because she was tired of writing about the city for people who would read the piece and move on. She wanted to write for the people actually living in it, the ones who would use the information. NYC Peak is that newsletter. Audrey has lived in six neighborhoods across three boroughs in twelve years: Astoria, Williamsburg, Bed- Stuy, Crown Heights, a brief and unexplained detour to the Upper West Side, and now Cobble Hill. Each move gave her a different layer of the city. She tracks StreetEasy the way other people track their investment portfolio. She writes NYC Peak every week and signs every issue the same way, because she means it every time.
